UKRAINE – Science in Crises
Ukraine passed its 2016 budget, in the wake of widespread closure of factories, debt, inflation and currency devaluation. The budget allocates US$76 million to the NASU which is about 12% less than in 2015. One third of the scientists now fear their job. Find source
Genes responsible for different hair patterns are discovered
A study published in Nature Communication found 18 genes that appear to influence hair traits including gray hair, beard thickness, and unibrows. Find source
